Decarbonizing Hawassa, one collection at a time
Recycling one kilogram of PET avoids roughly 1.5 kg of CO₂-equivalent emissions compared with producing virgin plastic, and composting organic waste prevents landfill methane — a greenhouse gas over 25 times more potent than CO₂. Our daily operations translate directly into climate action for Ethiopia.
Where the waste goes
Contributing to global goals
Our work advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals — decent work (SDG 8), sustainable cities (SDG 11), responsible consumption (SDG 12), and climate action (SDG 13).
Help us multiply this impact
Every partnership, contract, and grant grows the circular economy of Hawassa.
